4/25/24 I did a 6:55.8 2K
I started rowing in a NorCal Crew summer camp in 2018. From the very start I loved the feeling of being on the water and moving a boat along. It is a special experience to be able to go on the water and see parts of my city that many don't get to see, all while working with amazing teammates and coaches to improve our fitness and results.

“I’d like to thank my mom for being willing to sleep in the back seat of the car at 4 a.m. while I practiced, and my dad for always rooting for me and letting me know when I was almost halfway done with every erg piece,” wrote Katie Myers, who signed to Oregon State University for rowing. “Setbacks will happen. The measure of a good student and a good athlete is how you overcome those setbacks.”
I was invited to the 2023 Head of the Charles as the stroke of the Mixed Para Inclusion Four where we took home a gold medal. I am a passionate advocate for inclusion in sports and education. I have had to overcome my limitations and find creative ways to accommodate myself and others to be included. I am proud that my boat rowed through
I was invited to the 2023 Head of the Charles as the stroke of the Mixed Para Inclusion Four where we took home a gold medal. I am a passionate advocate for inclusion in sports and education. I have had to overcome my limitations and find creative ways to accommodate myself and others to be included. I am proud that my boat rowed through a rainy windy course in Boston to finish first in our race. The only boat on our team to medal in this race.
I got invited to race in the 2021 Youth National Regatta in Sarasota Florida. I was 6 seat in our U17 8+ and had an amazing and memorable time. This was during the COVID outbreak and it was an honor to be invited to race and a challenge as our training had been so disrupted due to lockdowns and limitations.

On 1/21/24 I did a 1-minute erg piece at U19 selection camp. On 11/27/23 I did a 10-stroke max-watt session and maxed at 580 watts.
Completed on 1/31/24. Our team 2K got canceled due to weather so I decided to try to improve my PR on my own. I got a 7:04.8. My current PR is a verified 6:55.8 done on 4/25/24 but there was no video of that.
Completed on 2/14/24. Our team 6K got pushed back a month, so I decided to try to set my 6K PR on my own. I got a 22:19.7 and after had a 10K workout.
On 3/20/24 I did a verified 30-minute piece at NorCal, finishing with 7680 meters and an average split of 1:57.1.

I'm lucky to have supportive parents. Here is my mom Jennifer.
What sets Katie apart is her resilience and determination, traits that have shone brightly even in the face of adversity. Throughout her rowing career, Katie has faced numerous challenges, including injuries and health issues. Despite these setbacks, she has consistently adapted her workouts and approach to training, showcasing a tenacious spirit that is truly commendable.
